Have You Risked Your Life Lately?

I did today. Fresh air, hot sun, fast motorcycle. I don't know what it is about motorcycles. They really scare the shit out of me. It's like a mind test where I try to enjoy the ride and NOT think about crashing. Or what I'd look like splattered on the pavement. Or what I think I'd break first. How they'd figure out who I am since I left anything identifiable in my car. It really can't be healthy to put myself in these situations. When I can stop thinking about those things... I LOVE MOTORCYCLES. I never want to drive one though. I like having a bug sheild sitting in front of me. Speaking of, I feel like I inhaled a bug. A tiny one, but it seriously feels like something went all the way up my nose. Maybe I've got a new visitor living in my sinus. Isn't this a pleasant story?

A few days ago at the fabric store, David and I were shopping for a bunch of things we didn't need. After chit-chatting with my fabric store ladies (who I see more than my own family these days) David and I were leaving and my sweet boy says "Thanks for the fabric! I eat my boogers! Bye!" Leaving me standing there with a why-in-the-world-would-you-say-that?! look on my face. This is the silliest age yet, by far.

I should've titled this post "Nose Stories."

It's late... I've got much more to say later, but no more about noses. Goodnight :)

Kids. Gotta love 'em. Just wait 'til they start telling your deepest, darkest secrets (or their interpretation of them) to their first grade teacher...

With motorcycles, a little fear goes a long way. My dh (a first responder) has cleaned up a few messes in his line of work. It's good to be a little paranoid.

I laughed. :D

And I'm glad I'm not alone with the button thing too! They're just buttons, but they're my perfect buttons. ;-) Thanks for the comment!

Kids are funny! My son announced the the waiter at Joe's Crab Shack that I drink out of the toilet. I never have! I don't know where he got that from!

That is just too funny! Why do kids say such crazy stuff?

Oh Crazy K- that's even worse! LOL I guess it's better he didn't say I was the booger-eater!

I love motorcycles too...just haven't had the nerve to get on one yet. Someday I will.
Don't kids just say the darnest things? I was in the supermarket the other day and this little toddler was sitting in the shopping cart next to me and all of a sudden he says very loudly "what the hell???"

My son is almost 6 now and still says the craziest things... I'm constantly looking at him with wonder, trying to figure out what in the world would possess him to say such a thing! But at the same time, I'm always looking forward to what he'll say next.

I had a Honda CBR600 (crotch rocket) and loved it... until I dumped it good. I'll never forget lying in the road, with my leg stuck under the bike, thinking "This is ridiculous... I'm gonna quit doing this and live to see my son grow up." Fortunately, I was largely uninjured, except some road rash and a good whack on the head (I was wearing a helmet). Haven't been on a bike since... but will when the babies are big! :)
